Again few AMD EPYC VPS based systems today at Frankfurt Linode.
None profit project for disabled people.

I want to use the moment right away.
If it is possible, support your local or abroad foundation for disabled people.

People without disabilities have a hard time these days. Disabled people nowadays have no chance at all.

Nup, although using Linode's European Union (DE) and former European Union (UK) locations only.

Just upgraded one of my client's Linode servers from old E5-26xx v4 Broadwell based CPUs and surprised they landed on latest AMD EPYC 7713 3rd generation Milan cpus!!!

Using Linode's custom 5.19.2 Linux Kernel which is optimal for AMD EPYC too :)
    Code (Text):
    uname -r

I am sure those VPS'es are great but man, those prices!

For that money I can get a dedicated 32 core/128GB VPS and a shared 16 core/32GB VPS @ Hetzner and have money to spare.

It's all relative, try getting a quote for dedicated server with 40Gbit/s in and 10Gbit/s out network connectivity and then spec'ing out 1920GB of fast SSD/NVMe redundant storage. :)

Linode also allows cloning and one click migration (when initiated from Linode support side) of your VPS to other datacenters or VPSes at relatively fast speeds. I've had my Linode VPS one click migrated to other servers by Linode at rates of 200MB/s of faster :D

Definitely forgot about the advantages of CloudVPS rather than just Dedicated Server. And the network speed is unbeatable.

Yep... but for most of us poor schlubs... we will NEVER need anything near those specs... for us you can get a good solid box for around $250 a month and won't be stressing for a LONG time.
For others of us, a nice $16 (USD) Hetzner VPS blows past what most others have.

Yeah. The right tool, for the right job. If you're doing external remote backup/restores and want to do them in a timely manner for terabytes of data, you'd need a fast network :)
True. There's a few Black Friday 2022 deals going on too for cheap VPS https://community.centminmod.com/th...g-com-black-friday-2022-50-off-kvm-vps.23478/ :)

Folks may have noticed this forum is a bit snappier page load wise. Linode migrated the forums to a new host node switching me from ancient Intel Xeon E5-2680v4 Broadwell-EP to AMD EPYC 7713 Milan processor

Migrating server was a simple one button click in Linode dashboard and only took ~8 minutes to migrate! One of the reasons I still use Linode as where else can you migrate a 160GB disk server in just 8 minutes? That's like ~341MB/s :D

    AMD EPYC 7713 has
    • new cpu
    • faster and higher turbo boost clocks
    • faster memory bandwidth
    • larger L1, L2 and L3 caches

Are you on the Fremont, CA to Santa Clara, CA migration path? As Linode is migrating consumers to the new datacenter since April.

I honestly expected some new data centers by now?

I could use a few new data centers within the European Union. Now that England is out of the union and no longer logically matched with GDPR. For Europe, I really only have Frankfurt left.

I'd imagine part of the delays would be supply chain issues? Especially, on AMD EPYC side.
