has it's done via constellix sonar checks and can also been tied into constellix dns failover setups outlined at Configure DNS Failover | Constellix Knowledgebase

Very good the geo proximity feature is much better than Route53 geodns as that is limited to AWS Edge locations and they don't have mid USA i.e. dallas one and they only have Ireland and Germany locations on Route53. Constellix geo proximity has much finer grain control so i can now setup in future for centminmod.com geo cluster locations in india, germany, russia, dallas and south america as well.

FYI, i moved my sslspdy.com site non-geodns dns to constellix as well :)

I have sent them a ticket for a price indication.
It seems to me that Constellix will be more expensive than DNS MADE EASY, about the same as Route 53 or something a little bit cheaper.

Found some interesting question tweet from another user about Constellix:

"PayPal payments will be completed in the future. Since the service are billed after usage instead of before (like DNS Made Easy)"

"DNSSEC will be supported in the coming couple of months if we continue to follow the current development roadmap."

    Ok about Constellix again.
    If you don't mind.

Constellix Sonar and Constellix DNS has its own login module.
How is the integration between those two?
For example health (sonar) checks created with Sonar can be used at DNS for IP fail-over etc?

eva2000 because you have experiences with both DNSmadeeasy, Route53 and the Constellix beta.
What do you think about the pricing of Constellix?
Given the fact that, for example, Constellix solar also has its price as extra (not yet known).

@bassie where did you get that pricing from ?

    my test domain usage is

    upload_2016-8-2_7-25-58.png

    • 2 domains = 5 + 0.5 = 5.5/month
    • 1 global traffic director = 5/month
    • geo proximity 11x 0.01/month = 0.11/momth + 11x 0.05 = 0.55/month
    • geo filter 4x0.01/month = 0.04/month + 4x0.05 = 0.20/month
so around $11.4/month before dns query costs

test domains don't have much traffic so hard to tell

    upload_2016-8-2_7-33-42.png

on Route53 it costs me between US$15-25/month for 6 domain zones and 3 million geodns latency based queries + 2 million standard dns queries per month + costs of health checks.

    for constellix geo proximity $2/million would = 3x2 =$6/month or geo filter $1/month = 3x1 = $3/month and std 0.5/million = 2x 0.5 =1/month

So roughly cost $11.4 for the setup + either 6+1 = $7/month or 3+1 = $4/month = 15.4/month to 18/month. So sort of inline with Route53 given that only 1 or the 6 domain zones is really the active one

So on the whole much better than DME geodns pricing at $660/yr per domain excluding dns query costs !

Constellix definitely has a superior geodns setup than Route53. So just need to see Constellix Sonar pricing as well :)

    I sent them a ticket.

A license for DNSmadeeasy to ask for more money with Constellix DNS compared to the relative cheap DNSmadeeasy. Or the already proven Route53 then. Considering there is also Constellix Solar with its own added cost.

DNSmadeeasy, actively advertises for a DNSmadeeasy client move to Constellix.
And that now appears not without reason.
It is now clear for what reason.

"custom-tailoring each of our pricing tiers to give businesses of all sizes the best valued DNS services." ;)

not relatively cheap DME if you do geodns at $660/yr per domain excluding geo dns query costs. Only DME cheaper if you do not do geodns.

really comes down to how they respectively count dns queries too. Lots of folks report DME has lower dns query usage recorded than other providers. We'll just have to see about Constellix Sonar costs. I'd probably give Constellix a good full test for a month for centminmod.com eventually to compare usage pricing as i like their Geo proximity filtering finer grain control so I can setup more vps within specific regions I have been eying on for ages like Russia, South America, India and mid-USA.

Constellix dns prices are approximately at the level or a bit higher than Route53.
I suspect Constellix solar at the same price level to.

All together dns + solar. Constellix seems more expensive. and that for a service that has not yet been proven.

well Constellix has been in beta testing for ages so should be as good as DME - fingers crossed

to compare for geodns DME costs DNS Made Easy - Business Pricing Customization

    i'm on business plan so $59.95 + 660/yr per domain = $719.95/yr for 1st domain with geodns. 2 domains with geodns on DME = US$1,379.95/yr !

For me DME seems to be a way cheaper than Constellix.
Nether I don't use GEO DNS query's why are they so very expensive compared to all the other features?
