    Who are your top 3 based on overall uptime and support / good communications?

    I only really recommend web hosts I use myself so you can see in sidebar VPS affiliate links on site and forums they would usually be
    as to which depends on what you want. Overall I use Linode for important sites like for my forums and a segment of centminmod.com GeoDNS VPS cluster. I preferred location is US West Coast due to it being in middle of Asia and Europe for best and even latencies for all traffic. If you use US East coast, then Asian traffic suffers more. Vultr, BuyVM.net and RamNode are also amongst my centminmod.com GeoDNS VPS cluster along with 13+ other web hosts.

    For beginners, probably DigitalOcean is best as it's manual snapshot backup system allows you do create sanpshot backups of good states for your server so if you mess up, you can revert to a previous good snapshot. Other providers like Linode, Vultr have limits on number of manual snapshots you can make - Linode is 1 manual and Vultr is like 11. If you need more performance, then Linode.com :)

    Upcloud is great.
    But they are twice as expensive as Linode.

    And on top of that, you need to pay VAT @ Upcloud, and with Linode not.
    Nothing can beat Linode uptime/feature/price-wise.

    My advice. Choose Linode unless.................. than Upcloud.

    - Your data must be hosted by a european company

    - You want the last of the latest in hardware

    - You need location Holland i.e. Amsterdam (as Linode doesn't offer Holland based servers).

    - You need a fall back ((as Linode uses one and the same AS network) i.e. two servers within the same network could lead to downtime in case of network malfunction - DDOS etc.)

    - You want to spread servers. Never go all in (Stay independent) at the same single company.

    Upcloud is expensive, but worth that price. I have not a single complain.
    Everything working OK.

    For communication, vpsdime is also very good. We are talking of support tickets being responded in less than 15 minutes. In the opposite side, very bad experiences with OVH regarding communication.

    VPSDime indeed is nice from what I tested at https://community.centminmod.com/threads/4gb-vpsdime-premium-kvm-vps-benchmarks-review.10646/ just be mindful of the timing of when you run centmin mod install script due to their configured first initial run /root/firstrun.sh script script to auto optimise and yum update the server which may block centmin mod installer's yum related install routines. So wait at least 15 minutes after you get access to VPSDime server, before running centmin mod installer just to be safe.
