    Updated Centmin Mod 123.09beta01 main hostname default nginx index.html page and default nginx vhost index.html place holder pages to add a disclaimer for visitors.
    The disclaimer reads as follows:
    This was added as some visitors visiting sites which are powered by Centmin Mod LEMP stack are hitting these pages and confusing site ownership thinking that the sites are run by Centmin Mod when they are in fact run by users who downloaded and installed Centmin Mod to power their web sites.

    FYI, latest 123.09beta01 updates are related to how Nginx server is compiled for Nginx using pcre and cloudflare zlib libraries. You will experience these changes the next time you run cmupdate to update 123.09beta01 code + centmin.sh menu option 4 to recompile/update Nginx. The changes include:
    These changes are to allow better compatibility with Nginx + BoringSSL crypto library support (as alternatives to LibreSSL and OpenSSL crypto library usage for Nginx) Beta Branch - fix set-misc & nginx stream module incompatibility with boringssl

    Latest Centmin Mod 123.09beta01's Nginx now supports BoringSSL crypto library along with LibreSSL and OpenSSL

    A separate thread is more appropriate for that discussion SSL - BoringSSL vs OpenSSL

    Possible bug in the code? I have this listed 192 times in the nginx.conf file (the X-Powered-By: centminmod).

    I just happened to be looking through trying to find where the code locks you into your base_dir so you cannot access any directories outside your root (still haven't found that" and came across this @eva2000.

    without the duplicates how does that section of nginx.conf outlined here centminmod/centminmod look like ?

    This is default in 123.09beta01
    Code (Text):
    # sets Centmin Mod headers via headers more nginx module
    # https://github.com/openresty/headers-more-nginx-module
    # don't remove the first 2 lines as centmin mod checks to see if they're
    # missing and re-adds them anyway. Just uncomment the 3rd & 4th lines
    # which is used to override the Server header to what you want = nginx
    # and remove the X-Powered-By header + restart nginx service
    # do not disable headers more nginx module itself as it's required for
    # other centmin mod features like redis nginx level caching & letsencrypt
    # integration in vhosts created by addons/acmetool.sh
    more_set_headers "Server: nginx centminmod";
    more_set_headers "X-Powered-By: centminmod";
    #more_set_headers "Server: nginx";
    #more_clear_headers "X-Powered-By";

    As instructed if modifying, don't remove the first 2 lines as centmin mod checks to see if they're missing and re-adds them anyway. Just uncomment the 3rd & 4th lines which is used to override the Server header to what you want.

    So just change it to override the default and set your server name in 3 line and 4th line will clear X-Powered-By
    Code (Text):
    more_set_headers "Server: nginx centminmod";
    more_set_headers "X-Powered-By: centminmod";
    more_set_headers "Server: nginx";
    more_clear_headers "X-Powered-By";

    That may have been what it was, as the first line was
    Code:
    more_set_headers "Server: nginx";
    That warning wasn't present in the nginx.conf I had in place apparently.
    I've deleted most of the other lines and set the first 2 as set above so will see what she does. Thanks!
