    Wondering when the new products, locations and/or other novelties will be presented.

    So far, it has remained limited to change at the administrative level.
    You now pay to Akamai by CC and Akamai is now part of Linode's internet network.

    I'd imagine it would take ages to scale Linode to also handle Akamai's full cloud hosting requirements which are at $100 million per year. That's a lot of servers :D They'd need to add so much capacity to Linode to handle Akamai's own cloud hosting needs + have room for existing/future Linode customers.
    Yeah noticed Linode Cloud Manager dashboard's notice for credit card charge name change :)

    That will probably go in phases. I will not be surprised if Linode enters Akamai facilities. They already use the internet network. The payment too. Next step probably Linode to the Akamai data centers.

    It makes no sense to continue Linode's relative small facilities, contracts, etc. when Akamai already has them all.

    But from the above-linked financials, Akamai spends $100 million per year on other hyper cloud providers that aren't necessarily their own facilities. Otherwise, there would be no need to have purchased Linode if they could use their facilities.

    Sure you will. Facilities are secondary. Akamai has more than enough resources available.
    The cloud market is growing explosively and will continue to do so. Akamai is targeting big business. Linode on developers. Now Akamai has both camps. With the goal that these developers will eventually bring the boss's business operations to Akamai as well. Because they are familiar with Akamai services already. Then you have the whole pizza.
