    So after moving everyone over on my xenforo website to centminmod, I discovered the page was caching as though another user was logged in. However all links would return - you need to be logged i to do that - and the user could not login.

    One way around this was to check the tickbox - remain logged in.

    However I found I had to change the following entries so that they all read as a 1 value to resolve the issue fully.

    nginx.conf

    Code:
    map $http_cookie $nocachecookie {
         default                   1;
        ~xf_fbUid                  1;
        ~xf_user                   1;
        ~xf_logged_in              1;
        ~xf_style_id              1;
    }
    map $request_uri $nocacheuri {
           default              1;
        ~^/register             1;
        ~^/login                1;
        ~^/validate-field       1;
        ~^/captcha              1;
        ~^/lost-password        1;
        ~^/two-step             1;

    You using @RoldanLT guide for fastcgi_cache XenForo Forum with Nginx fastcgi_cache full page guest caching ? Might need to ask him though those settings for mapped variables are already mentioned in his guide.

    This is the risk you take for nginx fastcgi_cache if not properly setup. I don't use it myself as yet. Maybe one day :)

    You might want to start with non-fasticgi_cache xenforo setup until you are more familiar with Centmin Mod and Nginx first.

    Which is the OPTIMAL setup that you'd recommend? Across the board? I picked (lib)memcached and fast cgi because that was the best at the time (a couple of years ago) but things have progressed now.
