    Xenforo forum folks might have seen Xenforo 2.1 have you see previews at Have you seen...?.

    One such XF 2.1 feature I am looking forward to is full page guest caching XF 2.1 - Approval queue improvements, Admin options UI tweaks, Guest page caching and more!. I've made some suggestions which I hope get added too here.

    So what Xenforo 2.1 feature you looking forward to from Have you seen...? ?

    My Content Rating's add-on is going to need a pile of stuff gutted from it to re-base it onto XF2.1 :(

    How about that knock out HYS that XF 2.1 just delivered today. Wow, I can't wait to start playing with it.

    Yeah I was really hoping for OAuth in one of the last updates.

    I thought for sure they would bring that with the API. :(

    Hard to complain too much, though; I'm glad to see the XF team focusing on really solid, core features instead of flashy, high-level stuff.

    The REST api is missing huge amounts for being actually useful beyond site-to-site integration.

    It supports per-user tokens, but has no way for users to generate or manage them.

    Thanks @Xon for the insight especially for us non-coders :)

    Guess it's a first step at least :D

    Aside from user token management, what else do you think it's missing?

    @eva2000 regarding this thread, some questions if I may...

    I have not installed libsoudiom PHP extension.
    Any tutorial how to install it?

    I have not installed argon2 (I have php 7.2.x).
    Any tutorial how to install it?

    For updating xenforo, would this be correct steps
    Especially that one from moving/copying from upload folder to forum folder overwriting old files.
    Code (Text):
    cd /home/nginx/domains/yourdomain.com/zips
    unzip xenforo_xxx.zip
    chown -R nginx:nginx upload
    cd upload
    \cp -Rpf * /home/nginx/domains/yourdomain.com/public
    php /home/nginx/domains/yourdomain.com/public/cmd.php xf:upgrade
    cd /home/nginx/domains/yourdomain.com/zips
    rm -f *

    After installed xenforo 2.1:

    comment out the security header for 'nosniff' in our /usr/local/nginx/conf/conf.d/yourdomain.com.ssl.conf
    Code (Text):
    #add_header X-Content-Type-Options "nosniff" always;

    Add in src/config.php
    Code (Text):
    $config['auth'] = [
       'algo' => PASSWORD_ARGON2I
    ];

    Also, why on screenshot in xf acp it shows mariadb version too, not just mysql version? Something with php 7.3 version, or is it better xf 2.1 coding?

    see Xenforo - Xenforo 2.1 Beta 1 Install On Centmin Mod 123.09beta01 LEMP Stack and link to Beta Branch - update PHP 7.2+ argon/libsodium routine & prep PHP 7.3 alpha support. You need to set PHP_ARGON='y' in persistent config file at /etc/centminmod/custom_config.inc and recompile PHP 7.2 to enable argon2 and libsodium support.

    much easier use Xenforo 2.1 one click upgrade Xenforo - Xenforo 2.1 Beta 1 Install On Centmin Mod 123.09beta01 LEMP Stack

    it's why MariaDB reports it's mysql version that PHP uses
