Wordpress WPEngine bad review - interesting read

Wow .... No words really .. That article sure is an interesting read and an eye opener. (And I used to think WP-Engine was among the good guys)

 

WPengine is nothing more then an over priced marketing gimmick

 

I got an account with them last month just to see whats so special about them, used a 75% discount coupon, but havent finished setting up domain for testing yet, but does have some simple things which make life easier for them specially.

They limit to wordpress 3.9.2 + and have a list of restricted plugins.
You can see and edit sftp users, git push, backup, redirects, activate cache, view logs from control panel.

If you need a reinstall it has to go through support

The wp-config file has quite a few interesting extra things.
