    Hi All,

Trying to work out the best way to do this. We have the live website all setup and running on a VPS using Centmin Mod, now we are looking at creating a development version on the same server, under dev.domainname.com.

Now should I use Option 22 to set this up, but ideally we wouldn't really need the caching to be activated on this, as would cause issues with development possibly.

If I use option 22, would it create a sub-domain without messing with the main Nginx host file?

I don't want to run it, just in case it overrides any of the tweaks I've made

    Nginx 1.17.x
    MariaDB 5.5/10.x
You can use centmin.sh menu option 22 and choose cache enabler for cache method and then disable cache enabler plugin from wordpress admin plugin dashboard. Then after you restore a copy of your live database to this new wordpress install, use wp cli search and replace to update to your new subdomain siteurl/domain similar to instructions outlined at Wordpress - centmin.sh menu option 22 - How to switch Wordpress to subdirectory

no nginx treats a subdomain site created via centmin.sh menu option 2 or 22 or nv command line as a separate site with separate directories as outlined at Centmin Mod Configuration Files - CentminMod.com LEMP Nginx web stack for CentOS
