Wordpress wordpress password email not work

what email address is used for the account and what email used for wordpress site admin/default ?

If off of @yourdomain.com on server or 3rd party email address ? If off of @yourdomain.com on server, then ensure you have valid SPF records - see outline at How to setup free @yourdomain.com Email Accounts with Outlook Live Domains - Centmin Mod - Menu based Nginx installer for CentOS servers for example for Outlook live. Without SPF, your emails probably ended up in your spam box.

then check your spam inbox could be in there

if by any chance you use 3rd party SMTP then CSF needs tuning see CSF Firewall - Centmin Mod - Menu based Nginx installer for CentOS servers

mostt common is TCP_OUT port 587 needs adding or whatever you using to connect to Google SMTP

who is your web host ? I know Vultr blocks SMTP until you contact them to provide id verification before they unblock SMTP

 

Yup see SMTP verification - VULTR the SMTP block is outside of the server

not sure I understand that last question as they are unmanaged provider so Vultr don't help with server work

 

did you reboot your VPS after the SMTP port unblock ? and did you do the following to whitelist SMTP port from CSF Firewall CSF - CSF Firewall info | Centmin Mod Community

did you restart CSF firewall after editing /etc/csf/csf.conf ?

 

then beats me as to why - might need to confirm with vultr it's been unblocked and also do simple email test via SSH command line and check your spam inbox too if you haven't properly configured your domain for SPF DNS text records etc
