    Hi

I am wondering if anyone here is running a really huge site forum with big database data and a lot of connections ?

Please post some stats in general and don't give link if you don't want :)

    Thanks

Don't own any large forums myself but since 2002, I have worked with and done paid private forum/server optimisation with 100s of the largest forums online (mainly vBulletin)
    • Registered member count = between 100,000 to 5,000,000+ members
    • Post count = up to 60+ million posts
    • Online user count over 900 seconds session duration = up to 60,000 to 100,000+ concurrent users
    • PHP non-cached request rates = up to 14,000+ php requests/second
    • Memcached servers = pushing up to 10,000 cache hits/second and 10s of billions of cache hits/month
    • MySQL activity = up to around 10,000 mysql queries/second (memcached and front end caching reduces that load ;) )
    • Web servers = Apache, LiteSpeed Enterprise and Nginx (Centmin Mod Nginx)
    • MySQL database size = up to 30-200+GB (some very very attachment/image heavy sites)
Ranging from single web + db servers all the way to multiple web server load balanced clusters with dedicated MySQL database servers (with/without MySQL replication) :D

Can't give names though as they're under contract NDA that I require all clients these days to sign.

Alot of what I've learnt over the years get's poured into Centmin Mod already ;) Of course not everything though. That goes to private paying clients :D

My old interview at https://theadminzone.com/threads/interview-with-eva2000-vbulletin-server-optimisation-guru.94591/ :)

edit: oh didn't see the title mention running Centmin Mod. Those stats are also for non-Centmin Mod setups as well (alot are on WHM/Cpanel based servers as well). For Centmin Mod, IIRC largest is around 20-30 million posts, ~5,000 users online and 300,000 to 500,000 registered members on multiple load balanced web serves or split single web + single mysql db server setups
