I have purchased this server on OVH: Enterprise SP-64 dedicated server - OVH
With 3 x 300GB SSD setup (and planning of install the whole server using minimal setup and use all the 3 drives without software raid).
And it will be delivered less than 10 days as per staff support said.

So I'm a little bit confuse whether to use CenOS 6.6 or 7.1?

    Any suggestion?
    Performance observation? :)

    Oooooh fresh server smell :D

@Andy AFAIK runs on CentOS 7 his forums.

I have a few test CentOS 7 servers - most active is 2GB DigitalOcean KVM VPS for Wordpress 7 blog (for CentOS 7.1 + PHP 7.0-dev in use)

Technically, CentOS 7 > CentOS 6.6 for performance. Just huge changes in how things run with systemd and sometimes things are not where they're expected in CentOS 7 vs 6

My Indian friend that I hosted his very Active WP Site paid it :).
@BamaStangGuy and @deltahf looks like they deploy a new server as well :).

I will try to ask OVH support if they will allow custom SSD for 2013 range.
    :)
OVH support a little bit delay though on replaying tickets :D
Last ticket I have answered almost 2 hours :), not really bad :).

OVH has tempted me a few times but lack of upgrade options and upgrade paths always is the deal breaker for me :)

What I like a lot on OVH is you have unlimited re-install of OS :D
With just a few clicks :).

Compare to versaweb you have to pay every re-install :(.

Like using Raid 10 setup with 4 SSD drives?

I reinstall OS with versaweb myself either via their IPMI/KVM java console = very slow or via VNC headless reinstall. I cancelled my Versaweb server a while back and wiped the disks and did VNC headless reinstall just before giving it back :)

Yeah 4-6 disk raid 10 or 2x 4 disk raid 10 arrays. Also memory upgrade options lacking in OVH

That I need to learn more :)
I fine doing Headless reinstall on OVH and SoYouStart servers myself, but when I tried on versaweb it didn't work :/.
But mostly will cost more :)

Yeah cost more but more performance depending on what you use it for. i.e. if my goal for a particular type server is to have 400-800MB/s write speeds for a particular task.

yeah there's not much flexibility with OVH upgrade options, one of the factors I look at
