@eva2000 what does it mean for "initial rego" ?

You mean 2st register at porkbun and the transfer to couldflare?

Do you use personally cloudflare to renew domains?

For me ever moving domains from ovh to any provider it will be big savings.

right now cloudflare doesn't do new domain registrations, so if it's new domain registration you need to use a normal domain registrar and then transfer to cloudflare domain registrar after 60 days

if it's existing domain you already own, then just need to transfer to cloudflare domain registrar.

@eva2000 ok it is clear now.

Is it safe to use cloudfront for domains? I was checking and see that you are not using it for centminmod.com

@mwtech I wrote it wrong I mean this feature as a free, no extra cost

Don't confuse amazon aws cloudfront cdn versus cloudflare domain registrar. centminmod.com uses Cloudflare for CDN/WAF/web acceleration only right now. I have yet to move centminmod.com to Cloudflare domain registrar as I am moving my domains in order of closest to expiry date first and centminmod.com is on the back end of the list as I pre-register my important domains 10+ yrs in advance so there's still alot of time before centminmod.com expires :)

    Ok it is clear.

So is it better to wait and forward domains when are expired, yes?

In other way you will waste money? Is it right?

Mine domains has different expire time, so should I wait and transfer it one by one?
or is there any script for that (to remember when to transfer)?

I pluck domain expiry into Google Calender reminders ;)

But yes moving before closer to domain expiry means you need to spend $$$ now as opposed to later even though the transfer adds +1 yr to your expiry, you still need to pay now. When to transfer depends on your domain registrar and how they do auto renewal. For example namesilo auto renews domains on 1st of the month in which the domain is due to expire. So if domain expires May 28th, namesilo auto renews that domain on May 1st. So I have to make sure I transfer that domain before May 1st so that namesilo doesn't do an auto renewal :) Different domain registrars will do auto renewal differently so when you transfer will vary.

I always use Namesilo :) You can use domain price comparison sites like tld-list or domcomp to check who is cheapest. Just make sure they offer free whois privacy :)

    Thank you for answer @eva2000

@alex_cmm why you always use Namesilo ? and not use coudflare?
