Wordpress What Wordpress Backup Plugins are you using ?

    Okay Wordpress users, what Wordpress backup plugins are you using if any ?

    Googling for Wordpress backup plugins brings back quite alot of results including 10 WordPress Backup Plugins You Need to Know About | Elegant Themes Blog and 7 Best WordPress Backup Plugins Compared (Pros and Cons)

    For me, right now I am using UpdraftPlus Backup & Restore Wordpress plugin and offloading Wordpress backups to Amazon AWS's S3 storage. But going to try other Wordpress backup plugins later on.

    I also have full server level backups done via Backupsy back server + rsnapshot - see step 10 of Getting Started Guide Getting Started with Centmin Mod.

    @RoldanLT posted links to how to use rsnapshot + backupsy for pull based backups Centminmod based server and Backupsy, What is the most ideal way to backup? @Matt posted an auto backup mysql script at Auto Database Backup Script which you can use for the local MySQL backups.

    I use Tarsnap + Tarsnapper Python script at the server level, and have two jobs for each PHP app (wordpress/Xenforo, etc). One job runs mysqldump and then backs up the db, and the other backs up the files.

    Tarsnap is awesome for easy snapshotting without adding much additional cost since it does block level deduplication ala rsync, and then compresses/encrypts everything clientside so you end up paying for barely any space at Tarsnap. It's the only option I've seen that does block-level de-duplication + compression simultaneously.

    But requires a little bit more tech savvy to get going...

    Just switched over to MainWP using quite a few extensions and 1 of the extensions was the UpdraftPlus so I purchased the Premium ( Unlimited ) and it does an excellent job!

    2 backup systems actually, One goes to copy.com and UpdraftPlus backups goes to my external backup server. MainWP has worked excellent and very pleased with it and all the extensions.

    do what exactly ? you just install the desired wordpress backup plugin you want
