Looks like Webpagetest.org is moving it's Amazon AWS EC2 instances to faster servers which will result in faster page load times for testing sites' page load times in general. They're moving from AWS EC2 m3.medium to c4.large instances (AWS EC2 instance types). So interesting to see how this plays out.

    • m3.medium is a Intel Xeon E5-2670 v2 (Ivy Bridge) 10C/20T @2.50-3.30Ghz with 1 vCPU, 3.75GB ram and 4GB SSD storage
    • c4.large is a Intel specially made for AWS based Xeon E5-2666 v3 (Haswell) 18C/36T @2.90-3.50Ghz with 2 vCPU, 3.75GB ram and EBS storage.
