    Hey,
    I have the 3.5$ plan Ramnode OpenVZ VPS (1Core / ram1024 / vswap256 MB)

I heard about very good performance when using Amazon S3 combined with Amazon CloudFront.

I wonder which server will be faster: a Centminmod VPS + Cloudflare Free VS Amazon Services (S3+Cloudfront)?

    Thanks ;)

AWS Cloudfront has bandwidth costs of US$90-120/TB so can get expensive if traffic spikes to 10TB = 10x 90-120 = US$900-1,200 per month !

Better just use Cloudflare in front of your VPS :)

Thanks bro i know u're love speed and benchmarks, can u get me some benchmark to see numbers?
And also, I wonder how much visitors my VPS can handle, it serves static files using centminmod beta version Wordpress install and I managed to handle 300 users online +. but what is the limit? how can i check this?
And a bit off-topic: does my Ramnode is better than OVH 3$ VPS?

some basic page dns speed benchmarks on forum but not on page speed as I only use AWS Route53 and Cloudflare for DNS comparisons not pagespeed. Cloudflare has since added more datacenters so performance can potentially be better. Just test for yourself and see.

Straight Centmin Mod Wordpress load /scalability tests I did on Wordpress7 site of mine Wordpress7.centminmod.com - it's just Centmin Mod itself on 2GB DigitalOcean KVM VPS pushing 240-302 million hits/day. Other Centmin Mod Wordpress users repot 90,000 unique visitors/day on 512GB KVM VPS using Centmin Mod LEMP stack via centmin.sh menu option 22 wordpress installer.

some examples on my Wordpress7 site
These are pretty old benchmarks and Centmin Mod 123.09beta01 performance has improved since then. Though Centmin Mod out of box install can only take you so far to achieve what I did above, as you still need further optimisation/tuning which you have to figure out yourself for your requirements or pay/hire someone to do. Though 90k users/day on 512MB KVM VPS is achievable easily on 123.09beta01 if you have right full page static wordpress caching mechanisms in place and also depends on size of your database as to how much memory you need.

see benchmarks Virtual Private Server (VPS) hosting Ramnode actively monitor cpu utilisation and warn when you use too much and OVH VPS has poor disk i/o performance so test for your own usage requirements.

Best advice is to follow = Guide to learning more about Centmin Mod setup test VPS with copy of your site(s) and start testing privately while leaving live sites untouched.
