    In my little experience, Linode's disk speed performance is 3-4 times faster than Digital Ocean. But Digital Ocean support is much more sweeter. They even give some credits to my account. :)

    Dont have any experience with Ramnode - they well respected at webhostingtalk though. I believe they have great hardware and good support team. But since they dont have Asia DC, I'm not quite interested in SSH with ~250ms latency. :cry:

    VULTR has interesting price. But good support is more important and I doubt about theirs.

    UPDATE:

    RAMNODE
    I had tried Ramnode (OpenVZ - Netherland DC) only for VPN - so far so great. Their VPS are very fast and uptime is 100% (almost 1 month).

    VULTR (Choopa)
    I also tried VULTR (LA) - tested their large disk & SSD VPS. Both are good. Seems their system always install OS from scratch instead of image, so it took longer time. While waiting for OS installation, I 'play' with their panel. add IPv6, set reverse dns etc, and when the VPS ready I got some grub error :)
    After submitted ticket, I was surprised by their fast support. Only took 1-2 minutes to replied and fixed the issue. But it still had other problem so I submit another ticket, and again their support is really quick to fixed it for me (2-3 minutes). So I really have no complain about VULTR, very good & lightning fast support , SSD performance is not as good as DO or Linode though.

    @nVidian as a Vultr user guess you need to be aware of their plans/pricing changes too

    Revised my Vultr plan/pricing table now - existing high storage plans all got a reduction in disk capacity too.

    My old VPS on Vultr used as my rsnapshot backup server and has uptime now of 181 days, still has 158 GB storage :).

    Hi @eva2000,
    Is it common for VPS provider to revised their price higher AND CUT RESOURCE so quickly ?
    FYI, I used VULTR high storage VPS as mail server. I'm aware - do they could be categorized a trusted provider ?

    Do you guys had any experience with their parent company - Choopa ??

    For providers i monitor on Webhostingtalk.com it doesn't seem that common for longer established web hosts. I wouldn't use Vultr for critically important sites especially for their higher cpu core count plans and if you need to be able to spin up identical cpu core instances as they seem to always be out of stock occasionally at some locations. With the price rise and changed cpu speed/product matrix at Vultr, their performance to price ratio is no better than Linode or Digitalocean if you read my latest comparison benchmarks DigitalOcean vs Vultr vs Linode Benchmark Compare | Centmin Mod Community Only advantage for Vultr is they have more geographical locations.

    In my opinion, Its not about $1, $2, or $10 matters. I think it showed something 'not right' about how they plan their business or may even worse, their business ethic. But I hope I'm wrong cause I'm still using their service :)

    Looks like it's time to update the comparison table as Vultr has increased the number of cpu cores available on some of their plans ! :cool: This would more closely match Linode's cpu core to price matrix and might actually offset the lower clocked 2.40Ghz speeds too.

    indeed that 3.5Ghz clocked RamNode will perform way better !
