Vultr Vultr to start charging GST Tax for Australians

    Got an email from Vultr.com and it seems they are starting to charge 10% GST tax for Australians on their services :(

    But this is common of all AU providers - regardless of whether "you" are actually in Australia or not - if the server you have "purchased" is in Australia, then the AU tax directive indicates the service is being provided in AU and therefore it's subject to GST.

    The only positive in all of this, is that the tax directive is at least very clear :LOL:

    Sorry - I wasn't sure if you were being ironic or pedantic :woot:

    Out of interest, are you a vultr user? I am toying with the idea of trying them vs OVH (if I can ever got through to their sales team!)
