Benchmarks VMHaus Benchmarks Various Configs

We are a little bit further in time again.
What is the current experience with this provider?

Looking at the registration and support (reaction time by means of test) this seems like a one-man's show.

Prices are close to other providers, but there are a number of plans interesting. Especially the largest.

I have the VMH-256 plan, I dont use it that much but i can say that AMD EPYC with NVM doing there job really well!

256 MB RAM thats not that much.

Are you simple been able to update your system?
As CentOS 7 'Could not allocate memory' at 256, even with simple tasks as update systempackages.

 

I use Debian 9 and self host small apps for personal use

 

Is VMhaus a one-man?
I sent a ticket on Saturday morning about custom ISO + link. No reply so far.

Although I think this is the biggest problem of many starting host companies.
Most are tech enthusiasts. And have a heart for technology.

Problem is that without staff, most of the time, if not all the time goes into communication and specific support tickets and not tech related stuff. After all, with a few servers, not much happens.

And since that is not a fun job at all but boring boring boring, it quickly could be postponed.

The problem is that you have to focus on a good support policy.
Something that many startups do not do.

During the summer holidays things like that may not work as smooth as normally. Specially when talking about small companies.

Yes, but it's only an annual $15 a year VPS I use for a jump server. I've already spun up a replacement with another company just in case they do vanish.

 

Using a cheap 2gb vmhaus vps.
I have been waiting for weeks for a ticket response for a custom ISO.
Still no reaction.

Given the fact that the owners and employee with a significant control has been written out at the company @Lowendtalk topic.

It seems to wait for a crash or creditor, supplier to pull the plug for not paying services.

Well after reading some of the other updates in that thread, I'm going to move what I need off my jump server and trash it just to be safe.

 

This is sad, because VMHaus worked very well.
