    Hi,

    Thank you for your help, my website is a membership site where people can login, buy products, etc.

    The main problem that I have now is that you are able to login but not able to logout, you get: Authentication Required Zonamotriz | Venta de Autos, Carros usados al mejor precio requires a username and password.

    I know I can comment out:
    Code:
    auth_basic  "Private";
    In location ~* /(wp-login\.php)

    And the issue won't happen. However, I'm not sure if this is the best practice or best approach that I can do.

    Please let me know if there's something else that I can do besides commenting out auth_basic.

    Thank you!
    Best Regards

    If it's membership site, you'd want to disable password protection on wp-login.php anyway. But having it enabled should not prevent users logging out.

    What wordpress caching method are you using if any ?

    Hi,

    I installed Wordpress with option #22 and chose Redis. If I keep auth_basic "Private"; then once you click on logout you get the message that I mentioned: Authentication Required <website> requires a username and password

    Thank you! :)

    By the way in the plugin nginx-helper I selected Redis too.

    Oh that is as expected as once you logout, wordpress redirects to wp-login.php so triggers password prompt. Hence, why you should disable password protection on wp-login.php for membership type sites.

    Vaguely recall, there's wordpress plugins to change where wp-login.php would redirect to ? That might help not sure.
