This is a question for people who work with large databases who don't have SSH access.

How do you import/export a large database with phpmyadmin?

Do you split it up? What do you use to split it up and how do you confirm it's OK? Is it even a good decision to go the route of splitting it up?

No one with large databases should use phpmyadmin at all for exporting databases. Risk of incomplete data is much higher. I've never ran a site where I didn't have full SSH control - being a control freak that I am.

If you have data that is important to you, then I'd look at moving to a server with SSH access - otherwise timely access to you data is limited.
