Just got this email from Cloudflare today. My $20/month Pro plan now includes Cloudflare Spectrum, which I see lets you route other protocols like SSH through their protective services.

Have any of you used it? Would you recommend it? As much as I like Cloudflare, and as many brute-force SSH attacks as my server sees, this seems attractive, but I just don't know... I kind of like knowing that I can always bypass Cloudflare and connect directly to my server in emergencies.

I haven't tried Spectrum yet so no comments yet. But AFAIK, you can still bypass Cloudflare to connect to SSH servers at least if you use direct server real IP address. I don't think Spectrum protects you from folks enumerating and trying to SSH brute force direct IP addresses.

But Cloudflare recent outage on dashboard and API showed degraded Spectrum performance not offline https://www.cloudflarestatus.com/in...4.1325035034.1586499095-1148386425.1561378984 so at least Spectrum folks could still connect.

I will be trying Spectrum later on when I have free time so will see.
