    Hi,

I see SypexDumper isn't compatible with PHP 7. Do you know any other mysql dump script which is compatible with PHP7?

Wouldn't know as I never trust php based mysql backup scripts for risk of timeouts and incomplete backup databases. The proper way is via ssh command line and mysql native client, mysqldump outlined at bottom of page at MariaDB MySQL - CentminMod.com LEMP Nginx web stack for CentOS

mysqldump is what is used for Centmin Mod's premium dbbackup.sh mysql backup script outlined at MariaDB - dbbackup.sh - quick mysql database backups for Centmin Mod stack | Centmin Mod Community :)

Actually I'm not so good at managing servers and that's why I was looking for a script with GUI support.

Look for a shared host who offers something like r1soft backups then, but as per above post you would be best to get a decent priced VPS.

Mind you if your on shared hosting you wont be running centminmod so why are you here ? (confused.com)

    true indeed !

if on shared hosting, only way is to get web host to provide a full site + mysql backup so you can transfer to a VPS :D

well, there are many users that can't afford a vps so they have a shared hosting account. I understand there are better ways to back up databases like by using your script but I need a solution for shared hosting

Majority of shared hosts use whm/cpanel and web hosts have option to allow full site backups from being generated and downloaded from within user's cpanel account - probably a good alternative IF your site data size isn't too large. The problem is when data set size is large enough to cause timeouts and delays and interrupt the script's backup process

Is it useful if I'm running Centminmod, right? I'm using cPanel so mysqldump command will be enough, right?

Thanks to all of you for your help.

Just run CPanels backup and make sure the MySQL box is ticked, you can back up locally, to a remote ftp site or to Amazon.
