Smart tools and email Alert when a disk is dying

    Hello :)

    It will be great if we can have for our disks the smart tools installed and enabled so when a disk is dying to get an email alert :)


    Don't know how this one works for Raid setups but i think it will be a great option :)

    That's probably something ends users would need to do themselves right now due to the email alert requirement. Not sure how many folks use 123.09beta01 vs 123.08stable so the prompt for primary and secondary emails on initial centmin.sh run in 123.09beta01 might not be as useful for non-123.08stable users and there's also the issue of whether a valid email is set for primary and secondary email prompts in 123.09beta01. I know sometimes on test servers, i just enter fake email addresses heh

    Yeah, this is something I've never really investigated or looked into. I have two RAID1 arrays on my server (one SSD for OS and most web files, and another HDD array for large file storage like forum attachments) and I don't know how I would know if one of the disks was dead or dying. :oops:
