slow ssh

    I just updated my development and test machine and have been trying to figure out why file uploads are taking forever from phpstorm. Then I found this thread!!

    I am getting killed by this 'feature'. I use sftp for copying files to my server for development. So I copy a couple of files at a time and EVERY FILE COPY has to login again! It can take minutes to copy 10K worth of files.

    On a related note... I am getting this message even after rebooting several times....

    well all the debug timed tests you did in this thread seem fine ~5-10s delay is normal.

    5-10 is not normal, every other ssh i connect to (apart from centminmod) is instant, instant as in not even 1 second.. if you use sftp, this is very annoying to wait 15 seconds per file.

    because other stacks don't check for yum and kernel updates.. it's normal for Centmin Mod

    but i'll see what can be done about it

    I've not experienced this issue before 1-2 weeks ago. No clue why it all of a sudden took 10-15 seconds..

    just updated 123.09beta01 to disable kernelcheck.sh see if that works

    updated but still takes time, it's prob not the kernelcheck

    what takes time is after "Last Login" appears.

    For verbose debug did you note where amongst output did it hang/delay ?

    might need to re-run a few times

.
