Nginx Pingdom requests and Nginx limit requests value

example html page has 1x css file + 1x js file + 1x png image so when you load the html page there are a total of 4 http requests including html page itself

so yeah roughly one call to the html page would have 4 requests

but as to request limit, depends on how you are rate limiting

1. via nginx level then yes would be around 4 http requests for above example
2. via fail2ban won't be the same as centmin mod by default disables static file logging to access logs so as far as I know fail2ban reading the access logs won't really see static files in their calculation unless you edit include file /usr/local/nginx/conf/staticfiles.conf and comment out all the references to the directive:

yeah as outlined above static files maybe excluded with fail2ban but still should work as intended as you really only need to rate limit non-static files i.e. php etc
