Chrome 69 stops displaying www. and m. in address urls

Chrome 69 release has started to confuse some users by no longer displaying www. and m. in the web browser's Omnibox url address bar Official: Google Chrome 69 kills off the World Wide Web (in URLs). I knew it would stop displaying a green padlock, but it's news to me that they would remove www. and m. from web browser address bar!
Starting with version 69.0.3497.81 out this week, users who type in a website address with the www. in the address will have the letters removed from the displayed URL. For example: www.domain.com would be shortened to just domain.com and whatever.www.domain.com will be shortened to, er, whatever.domain.com. Literally, the www. and m. characters are just stripped out.

The truncation is the result of Chrome programmers considering www to be a "trivial" subdomain, and setting it to be removed from the address bar. Users who want to reenable the full display of subdomains can do so by changing a flag setting at...

What do folks here think ? For folks with web sites primarily domain being www. version, it will be confusing !

I never use WWW for my websites anymore. Shorter is better IMO.
