Safe to run "yum update" with Centminmod?

I was just doing some work on the server, when I found some instructions that prompted me to run yum update. I was careful and noticed it will update the following packages:

My question is, is it safe to run yum update outside of the Centminmod menu, or can this cause conflicts?
