ReliableSite.net dedicated servers

Another dedicated server web host I have kept an eye on is ReliableSite.net. And recently reinforced the interest as @Null and @Matt have stated that The Admin Zone forums moved to them for their dedicated server hosting as well.

They have awesome WHT forum dedicated server offers and DDOS protection (20 Gbps Protection) as well. Only they are located on US East Coast, New York so for Asian region traffic might have slightly higher latencies.

well for specifics for server recommendations really beyond the support provided here on the forums

But for MariaDB just specifying different datadir in /etc/my.cnf and moving the /var/lib/mysql contents to a new directory to 2nd SSD should do it usually. Or just mount 2nd SSD as /var/lib/mysql if you want.

Personally, I'd just do 2x SSD raid 1 if on a budget or 4x SSD raid 10 if it's financially feasible..

 

very nice, definitely a powerful setup considering it would be faster than old dual Xeon E5620s !

make sure you get the Dedicated KVM Access with Virtual Media option as you can install your own distro/reinstall OS
