Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.1 is released.

A few things I will look into with interest:

Wondering what this will mean for EPEL.
EPEL is not yet released for all packages and now new versions have already been released.

    For example PHP 7.3.

All packages with a dependency of PHP are need to be compatible with PHP 7.2 and 7.3. Even if EPEL isn't released yet for *.0 nor *.1.

This could be going to be a big chaos

Chapter 4. New features Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 | Red Hat Customer Portal

Second. How long will it take before CentOS 8.1 will be issued.
The previous release version 8.0. took too long.
4 months cannot be substantiated with facts.

For example the CentOS 8 ISO was ready at
    15-Aug-2019. CentOS 8 release on 24-Sept-2019.

    What are you waiting for?

Yeah saw that news. This transitional time for RH / CentOS 8.0/8.1 is just going to be a waiting game with patience :)
