There's also Linode CLI linode/cli · GitHub and guide at Linode CLI - Linode

Haven't used nodebalancer though as I mainly use haproxy or nginx load balancing :)

I'm also with Vultr for the moment. As soon LE branch goes 'gold' in the beta01 branch i will use that on one or two linode instance. I already have a linode account - and from time to time I just start a linode vps for some short test. But will go all in with centmin mod and some letscrypt intregration flavor later.

Linode is very fast - I primary use the german site (datacenter) with linode.

    Just curious,
Why Linode's 2.5GHz E5-2680 v3 is slower than Vultr 3.6GHz CPU, as Linode CPU is more expensive than Vultr.
    PassMark - CPU Performance Comparison
Assuming that Vultr uses Intel Xeon E3-1280 v3.

pure cpu clock speed is why if you compare up same number of cpu threads but only if 3.6Ghz cpu. Vultr new 2.4Ghz cpus are slower !

I'm thinking about leaving Vultr for Linode. Vultr used to be the superior performer and lower cost, but they've been slowing down CPUs and raising prices. I'm grandfathered into older pricing, but I lose that if I upgrade.

Comparing Vultr's $40/month plan with Linode's $40/month plan, you get 4 CPU cores with Linode but only 2 with Vultr.

yup 4GB Linode VPS is best bang for the buck in terms of cost per CPU

The 1GB, 2GB also have the same CPU vs dollar ratio, but have a nice upgrade path to the 4GB without significantly more cost for the increase in CPU.

I am truly up to my wits end with Vultr. I am so done with these morons! I have put up with to much bull(*&^* for the last 2 weeks then I ever want to deal with.
My question is; If you had your choice between ALL the VPS providers Linode, DO, Ramnode, and whoever else is around - who would you choose for the best performance, speed, support, - everything. Just 1 though, who would you choose?

I need to make a move soon and I'm looking at Ramnode and Linode - Ramnode looks better and have heard great things about them but have never tried them.

Only tried Digital Ocean and I am pleased, very.
RamNode I am using only for backup.

Right now despite all that's happen, Linode is still in the lead. I have a few other cloud providers I am going to test and compare but Linode still is it

Linode (because I need Singapore DC) and Ramnode (much faster cpu and SSD) for Performance.

been sharing my issues with them all day. Tired of sharing my issues with them. The only one that actually cares that answers tickets is Eric Van Trease, Everybody else treats you like garbage.

I have just been setting up my new VPS in Vultr per recommendation of a friend. I had my previous one on DO. And I see that I should move it to Linode instead? Arg!! :D

I just need 2Gb and at least 40 Gb SSD for a couple of Wordpress sites. Linode is still the best bet? Any chance to get still fast processors in Europe or have they downgraded as well?
