MariaDB Transfering Innodb tables to Centminmod server

Hi
I want to transfer a new friend to Centminmod server and he is using Innodb tables on Mysql....

What i have to do so when i backup and transfer the db to the new server and import it to get all tables as they are and using Innodb?

Is there anything special that i must do or adjust ?

Also i am not so sure if i will use MariaDB 5.5 or 10 ? What do you think?

It is an Invision forum with a 5GB database...
