Sorry to say that but i think something is wrong with the Centminmod.....

I am already using on a few servers Centminmod without any problems and now i have a problem....

Ok it is a test server and i do not care but i am afraid to use it in a production server now :(

I just get the vps and install the Centminmod.

Then i create a vhost (menu option 2) using my domain and i disable nsd (service nsd stop and chkconfig nsd off) as i do not host my own nameservers and i use godaddy nameservers and an A record entry.

That's it nothing more nothing less :)

Now the problem is that sometimes when i use the domain i am getting server not found and at the same time i can ssh to the server and even open phpmyadmin as i use my ip there....

Then after a few minutes i can use my domain without any problem !

Every few minutes is going down and then up for a few minutes ......

I disable also the firewall using csf -x

    Crazy !!!!!

NSD install by itself won't cause your problems and would be unrelated whether or not it's running or installed. Especially, if you use 3rd party nameservers it bypasses NSD locally anyway.

    Which version .06 stable or .07 beta 21 ?

@eva2000 Maybe now you will remove nsd on default centmin?
And just add it as an addon?
    nobody is using it :D

The problem might be GoDaddy's DNS service.

You said the IP works but the domain says server not found.

Then DNS must be the culprit.

Try dns.he.net instead of using GoDaddy's DNS.

Yes the same domain but you must monitoring it for 30 minutes to see the problem :)

I t is not possible to be 1 hour online without any problem.

I double check other sites on my pc at the same time that is not available and all are ok !

Yeah could be godaddy name servers as ns29 shows last month only 91% success rate http://www.solvedns.com/nameserver/ns29.domaincontrol.com

and your domain's name server check at https://www.whatsmydns.net/ shows ns29.domaincontrol.com down at some geographical locations

    see https://www.whatsmydns.net/#NS/koslifestyle.com

To compare DNSMadeEasy 6 month 99.98% success rate and past 2 months 100% success rate and 2.5x times faster DNS response time than GoDaddy http://www.solvedns.com/nameserver/ns10.dnsmadeeasy.com

Ok I'm going to check with our Advanced Technical Support department and have them look into it a little further. Give me just a few minutes.

If you have a choice of nsXX.domaincontrol.com name servers, maybe try different ones from ns30 and ns29 ?

    Ok i give up :)

    I can't find what is it :)

Today i had a problem again and server not found.... then i tell to a friend from another country to test at this time and he told me that he was able to open it after 20sec very slow.

Only one user online on 1gb vps !

I didn't touch the configuration at all but it seems to be a problem with the page itself maybe .....?

Then i upload a simple html file to test and i had again the same problem damn.

server load at the time that i have the problem is 0.00 or maximum 0.01.

It looks like nginx not reposnding but it is on another pages that i use the ip...

I will let you know soon as i buy a test new domain from namecheap and at the moment is working great.

But i will need a screenshot from the settings as i can't understant a lot about the way that they have setup the panel :)

At the moment i just add an A record but i am wondering for the rest like ptr and so on.

So please if anyone wants to mask the domain and post a screenshot so i can check how you set them there :)

    Thanks

Is it better to use namecheap or nginx to do the redirect when a user types www.mydomain.com to auto redirect to mydomain.com?
