    I tried the 4 core 8 Gb version, just to see what difference it would make.
    4 virtual CPU at 2394 Mhz

    that Vultr VPS ? strange that it's almost the same/slower with 4 vs 2 cpu cores.

    Could be that specific Vultr 4 cpu server was more loaded/contention amongst neighbours or something.

    But thats a 64Gb server with
    Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E3-1270 v6 @ 3.80GHz chips

    His CPU and cache are double what I get
    cpu MHz : 4195.140
    cache size : 8192 KB

    I'm here again with another High-CPU droplet test. It's the same as above but it has 4 CPUs and 6GB of RAM.

    One thing to note is that you don't get more HDD space or bandwidth when upscaling to the next level. Bummer.

    from breakdown compare, nginx and php-fpm compile times were faster with 4 vs 2 cpus but yum download and other source compiles ended up slower
