Ok i did a few tests and i think i found where the problem is :)
On an old server with the same php version as my second server and phpmyadmin updated there is no problem at all but i use the ip to access it and not hostname as it is an old installation :)

So the problem seems to be when we use the hostname server.domain.com and maybe not just this as i use Cloudflare in front of it and pass all connections from there to avoid linking direct to my server ip....

So server.mydomain.com doesn't resolve to my server ip as it uses Cloudflare ip's...

Yes i have a valid A record for hostname but if i use Cloudflare doesn't resolve to my servers ip as it uses Cloudflare ip....

If i ping my hostname server.mydomain.com i can see Cloudflares ip and not my servers ip....

shouldn't matter as log as your main hostname + nginx main vhost config file /usr/local/nginx/conf/conf.d/virtual.conf server_name are the same and that server_name is not used for any other nginx vhost setup on your server

to double check you can post contents of these 2 files

main vhost /usr/local/nginx/conf/conf.d/virtual.conf and the main vhost's include file at /usr/local/nginx/conf/phpmyadmin.conf

i can't reproduce your login problem at all, been longed in for ages without problem

maybe some clues at Issues · phpmyadmin/phpmyadmin · GitHub

Maybe @ekayulia can post content as i will be late back to main pc.....

What i did is a normal Centminmod beta 09 setup latest and i add my domain. Then i change the none to www redirection and install phpmyadmin....

    Nothing more....

Don't know why you can't reproduce it as it seems to be a problem for every new installation.

The problem now has been resolved,
    Thank you @eva2000
    Thank You @pamamolf

The problem is the version of the phpmyadmin, previously I used phpmyadmin version 4.6.0-dev. I think the version have bugs with login session cookies.
WhenI see @eva2000's screenshot above, he use phpmyadmin version 4.7.0-dev it was different with my phpmyadmin version. I do not know, maybe the developer recently made improvements from the previous version and update.
I did uninstall and reinstall it, bingo!!, the problem was disapear and my phpmyadmin version now is 4.7.0-dev.

but by the way, you have typo with your update in github @eva2000

if you get that message then yes must be a new feature in latest phpmyadmin version as PHP 5.4 is EOL and not updated anymore

well as you can see from this thread, it's been a tricky beast to get ironed out bug wise

who knows 123.09beta01 once goes stable maybe :)

Technically yeah as you can see the number of issues reported in this thread but due to less feedback or testing or reported bugs it delays the stable release. More folks that test this addon, the sooner it becomes stable.

So try it and see :)

not via phpmyadmin.sh addon. Running without either is a security risk !
