    how did you change the mysql root password ? FYI, it's different from SSH root user password.

    So you have SSH root user password AND mysql root user password.

    Yes, and now is working and I have access.

    example ssh user "root" password "pass123"
    mysql user " root" password "word321"

    And now is working to do that:

    Stop MySQL
    Code:
    sudo /etc/init.d/mysqld stop
    Safe mode
    Code:
    sudo mysqld_safe --skip-grant-tables &
    Login
    Code:
    mysql -uroot
    Code:
    use mysql;
    Reset Password
    Code:
    update user set password=PASSWORD("password") where User='root';
    Code:
    flush privileges;
    Restart
    Code:
    quit
    Code:
    sudo /etc/init.d/mysqld stop
    sudo /etc/init.d/mysql start
    I now is working (i must reboot whole server not just service)
