    I made a Wordpress default installation with "
    yum -y update; curl -O https://centminmod.com/betainstaller71.sh && chmod 0700 betainstaller71.sh && bash betainstaller71.sh"
    I have not made any other modifications apart from enabling Letsencrypt

    As it turns out BBPress is not compatible with PHP 7 yet so I am unable to run my forum is deactivated. I tried the release candidate and it broke the site so the next option is to downgrade PHP. Somehow the option only scale upward and there is no way to downgrade to php 5 from the options menu.

    Is there a way to fix this or do I have to make a fresh installation

    This will increase your upgrade duration time wise.
    Check the change log centminmod.com/changelog.html

    which require checking YUM prequisites are met.
    If no new additions made, you can skip the
    YUM install check to speed up upgrade time.
