    But mcrypt was lost?
    Some of my addons depends on it and stop working :unsure:.

    Upgraded, everything working great. Only did my testing server at this point.

    I updated 5 servers, running XF and WP all works fine :).

    IPS is also working well with 7.2.0. IPS developers said there shouldn't be any problems with 7.2.0 and the removal of the mcrypt extension.

    yup that's the way to do it for PECL extensions

    Will have to add to 123.09beta01 mcrypt PECL if php 7.2.x is detected.

    that version seems old mcrypt 1.0.1

    this is php 7.1.12 installed with mcrypt 2.5.8

    Maybe just wrong version naming on PECL, once installed I still got that version.

    yeah looks like it reports the libmcrypt yum package's version = 2.5.8
