Finally upgraded to PHP 7. Didn't realize til afterwards that NewRelic PHP agent doesn't support PHP 7--they said likely they'll release a version with support in February sometime... really bummed, as I was looking forward to seeing the graphs be a lot shorter after the upgrade. :-D
AFAIK they have a beta that you can apply for.
Nevermind, it has been closed; PHP 7.0 Beta Program (SIGNUPS CLOSED) - PHP Agent - New Relic Community Forum
yeah last year i suggested to newrelic to support PHP 7 lol
How we would know that? Some kind of notice on forum or...?

I read all posts everyday, but never found single notice for update or not update php-fpm.conf while updating php
that's because there hasn't been any changes for ages
But is there no new options or values in php7 vs php5 or something like that?
So, every time we update/downgrade or recompile php, we just choose (or not) to update yum part, but no for update php-fpm.conf
php-fpm.conf is php-fpm server config not php version config so nothing has changed for ages
Ok, I will remember to answer every time NO when upgrading or recompiling php, until I see shiny notice here on forum:
