Wordpress Performance benchmark : centmin mod vs runcloud vs gridpane

    Interested to know anyone benchmark the performance between these 3 module?

    Personally I have tried WordPress installation with all three methods. And find that CMM and gridpane being better in performance..

    Then I run loader.io on both, and actually find that gridpane able to handle load better by a slight margin. Speed wise both are equally fast

    But maybe I am not good in setting up CMM as this is my very first experience dealing with vps/Linux.

    Anyone pro can share their benchmark or test result?

    I don't have any experience with gridpane, but from quick google search, it looks like it is a hosting company.
    CMM is a LEMP web stack.

    So you are comparing apple and orange.

    my two cents are if you are comfortable of doing simple vps/linux stuff, go with CMM. By default, it is optimized, this should be good enough for most people. but you can further optimized it based on your need.
    If not, go with gridpane.

    Yeah they seem to be hosting company with paid plans so apple to oranges comparison as they're offering a product which has paid revenue/income for them to decicate their time fully to developing. Centmin Mod LEMP stack I only work on in my spare time. Imagine what I could do if I was doing this full time and offering a paid product !
    You have specific benchmark numbers/results you can share would be interested in that and the server configs you ran them on. Always love to see comparison benchmarks whenever possible :)

    My mind is always open to the possibility that Centmin Mod isn't the fastest out of the box for all usage cases and that other LEMP stacks may be more optimally tuned for other usage cases. So @kayx let me know if that is the case and provided more config/host and test /environment info and your results, I will try to work towards improving Centmin Mod even further if needed.

    Gridpane is not the hosting company, they provide a control panel for WordPress installation in VPS like Runcloud and ServerPilot. They are very expensive.

    This summer their performance was on par or slightly better than the competition (according to WPPerformancetester). Competition = SpinupWP, RunCloud etc paid services.

    Around 50% slower on requests per second compared to free Centminmod.
