Interesting Backup Script: cdp.me

    I just discovered this backup script... anyone have some experience with it?

    Problem is, backup is done via PHP. :/

    yeah read about this script and only reason I am not using it as it's via PHP which has limitations.. pure shell scripting for speed and scalability with large databases !

    Oh well, didn't know that. A nice try though. I still think Obnam - backup program looks like the best overall backup option, since every backup gen looks like a complete snapshot, it dedups, fully commandline, fully tested and production ready, and best part is you can easily mount the backup repository via a read-only FUSE filesystem...
