Ouch I had heard OVH raising prices in future due to the dramatic increase in cost for ECC DDR3/DDR4 memory (double the cost), but now Brexit !. Is this OVH UK only or OVH worldwide ?

edit: looks like OVH USA prices still the same Dedicated Servers - OVH

OVH UK though not sure as i don't monitor those prices at Dedicated Servers- OVH

Not sure if it's Globally, or just targeting the UK market. 20% isn't an insignificant increase, so I certainly need to look to either pass on the price increase, or reduce something somewhere to try and absorb this kick in the face.

It's going to increase my costs with OVH by £75 a month after VAT as it currently stands.

US is currently higher, so for a $91 a month server, that's currently 56.69 + VAT which is £68.02

$91 is around £73, so that does put the price higher after the increase.

OVH staff confirmed it's not affecting SYS prices

    Dedicated servers

I also have one of their legacy servers, so I wonder if they are going to increase the price on that?

Hetzner is absolutely amazing. Their free incoming bandwidth with a 1gigabit port combined with their auction servers make them ideal for my contribution to crawling project.
Provided I don't need neither reliable drives nor ecc or xeons cheap i7s do what I need.
They are a bit paranoid and keep on making random netscans to which I already have a pre-made letter which they always accept.

hetzner doesn't seem too bad at all, might have to switch in the near future, do you have a referral code or link

well with speeds like this, who needs the internet altogether, might have to definitely switch to hetzner sooner, it's gonna be alot of work to move everything but the features and specs look worthwhile.
