from the reviews the E3-1245v5 has much lower power draw - probably why OVH chose them for the new datacenters. I can see OVH transitioning to E3-1200v5 series everywhere eventually as it saves power draw !
but looking forward to @RoldanLT's bench.centminmod.com / centminmodbench.sh numbers

here's hoping that Intel Xeon E3 1200v5 Skylakes have Intel TSX-NI enabled and working unlike in Haswell cpus (1200v3). TSX-NI = Transactional Synchronization Extension New Instructions Transactional Synchronization Extensions - Wikipedia

So curious if anyone who ordered has had their servers delivered or like most OVH ordering process is very much delayed ?
Not yet for me.
Seems like folks are still not receiving their OVH new location servers ! Guess OVH is keeping up with their tradition in terms of over promising on deleivery dates of servers !
ouch... so I guess you're going just wait ?
Yeah, not a big deal for me
Can't imagine how many issues you will have to deal with it after they will set up the server. I hope the delay won't mean more issues.
I will probably use that server for Live Forums after a month.
ouch more delays !
They will provide fast network speed as on OVH france?
Wondering if it is better to use Poland as i am much closer to them than France but i don't know if the network speed will be the same ..... ?
try and see ?
but anyone actually get their OVH servers in these regions yet ?
Most datacenters/cross connects/telcos in Australia go into an embargo period where no new orders are accepted early December and a hard embargo period (aka everything put on hold till next year) a week or so later.
This late? No carrier will talk to them if they need more connectivity.
Indeed. Shame about delays but folks will still line up and queue for the price !
