    you mean 500Mbps for OVH ? 250Mbps is on SoYouStart IIRC ?
    interesting you went with Host32L Intel Xeon D-1520 and not E3-1231v3 ?

    Nope, I think they are now are 250Mbps.

    Wanted to try the new CPU's out and the E3-1231v3 was in a 72 hour wait period.. and I wanted it NOW! ;)

    They are offering 250Mbps on hosting and gaming plans as the rest have 500Mbps :)

    One reason... had to decide if faster CPU or faster memory was priority... figured as low impact as my sites were the memory would be since I use it for a lot of caching.

    I've gotten tired of the HG32 I had... having to use the OVH custom kernel sucks.. so I've grabbed an EG32 w/2 480GB SSD's. Don't really need much more than that since none of my sites are busy - I really need to get to creating content in them, but I like twiddling with the servers and configs more than creating content.
    Have to config the new server, set up my mail services and then start moving stuff over. Once I get that done I'll be moving the IP's over to it and then shut the HG32L one down.

    (y) same feeling here too - though hoping my forums here grow to the stage I can twiddle and generate more useful content (with help of forum members ;) ) :D

    I'm adding to centmin mod a check for ovh custom kernels prior to initial installs but was wondering if these identifying markers are universal for all OVH/Soyoustart servers ? if OVH/SYS folks can check your servers for these files

    looks like not all OVH servers have that file then :)
