Looks like OVH is having problems/delays getting more IP addresses from ARIN https://forum.ovh.us/showthread.php/879-Servers-are-apparently-taking-weeks-to-deliver
I can't speak on their quality first hand, but I will say that OVH's VPS seemed to work quite well when they were being used to DDOS one of my websites for 3 days straight. Lol.
yeah was looking at that, nice to have 12 cpu threads to work with yeah unfortunately that is the case for OVH even my forums anti spam system flags OVH network for forum spam/rego bots.
Amazing OVH doesn't care about the security of their forums at all so many reminders and no one has done anything https://forum.ovh.us/showthread.php...us-SSL-certificate-expires-in-less-than-48hrs !
Hardly surprising. I'm not renewing one of my servers on the 23rd when it expires. Had a boat load of issues with it trying to get it to install Proxmox. Installing their OS template for it send the server into a reboot cycle. Had 4 tech visits to the server yesterday morning and putting it into rescue mode. Installed CentOS and Debian fine, so no idea what is up with their Proxmox template.
ouch, so guess you have another server elsewhere lined up for Proxmox testing or that it for now for now ?
I have another server already running Proxmox, but wanted to migrate the VMs to the "newer" server as it has the E3-1245v2 rather than the E3-1225v2 of the existing server. It expires on the 23rd, but it looks like someone else has reported the same issue with their Proxmox template (thread on their "support" forum). I'm not exactly stressing the existing one, but it's always nice to have a better CPU if possible Code: 05:42:47 up 29 days, 17:28, 1 user, load average: 0.02, 0.04, 0.00
Yeah that and extra 4 cpu threads on E3-1245v2 means possible an extra 1 or 2 possible VPS available simultaneously
If it gets to the point where I'm loading this one out, I'll go full OVH rather than SYS and onto the E5 platform (or look at Online.net). I'm saving £52 a month by letting the new one go anyway, as I was running them both for a couple of months.
Yeah and I hope you have remote backups for OVH servers as data integrity isn't of any concern to OVH https://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=1421908
