Could very well be a different between a EU and CA account:

That's what I see in the Billing section.

Ah in that case i suspect it's an OVH UK/EU supported item not supported for OVH USA/CA ! That's probably why OVH USA support told @BamaStangGuy it's not available !

Well my linode 24Gb vps has for some reason been running like a dog this last fortnight. It actually hung completely before that. No response even the linode guys were at a bit of a loss... other than turn it off and on again; which worked.

CPU Steal is well in excess of 30% some moments, more when I'm out for my jog it seems.

So I'm now a one toe in the water OVH customer. Signed up for a SoYou account via an Atom 4Gb/2TB storage/backup box. Pleasantly happy I got a i3 8Gb in less than 10 mins. I don't think the big brother OVH signup will be as lucky dip.

So then, to decide on a SP64 or 3xEG32. Been pricing a few well known uk dedi hosts, ukfast, nimbus, heart, m247 just to be sure... For the cost of one 'supported' and I guess branded server, there is case to make a 3 way mysqlcluster in OVH. I've not tested IPS v4 though for a HA setup, with less reliance on the FS for caching etc it should be more feasible.

I only say this as I can disappear for days without internet access. Either way a one box solution is still a risk, inc current 1 linode vps.

    • #box1 [ha] [nginx-php] [mysql1][redis1]
      • >push web> daily @ (rsync.net)
      • >push web> minute @ #box2 ~ rsync
    • #box2 [ha-failover] [nginx-php] [mysql2][redis2]
      • >push web> daily @ (rsync.net)
      • <pull web< alt-hourly @ (Backup1)
      • <pull web< alt-hourly @ (Backup2)
    • #box3 [mysql3]
      • >push mysql> daily @ (rsync.net)
      • <pull mysql< alt-hourly @ (Backup1)
      • <pull mysql< alt-hourly @ (Backup2)
Or just one eggs in basket sp64 and let the php thingys go wild in the ram...:)

Just bought our second OVH server. All of our sites will now be off of Linode and Digital Ocean and now located at OVH.

Sorry, I totally forgot about testing the auto payments. I will do it this week to see if it works in the US.

Nice to see that they're offering more hard drive options. First time I saw that.

    NVMe... I'm loving that option!

I thought they were thinking about building one, but it looks like they're adding a new datacenter to BHS. Maybe they've changed their minds.

We still haven't had it validated even though we purchased on our existing account and have paid for one month and now 3 months in advance. That is the only thing I dislike about them is how long it takes to get the servers validated.

    Other than that, very happy.

They might have had to setup your HD requirements. That might delay your order.

    in due time https://community.centminmod.com/th...west-germany-italy-spain-uk-netherlands.9860/ :)

yeah expected with OVH due to amount of orders they get and sometimes delay due to IPv4 shortages in the past

My last order took longer than the 120 seconds advertised, due to a delay in the hardware validation checks they perform each time a server is provisioned / re-provisioned.

I am sitting at around 8 hours on validation still. Opened a ticket but haven't heard back yet. I am guessing it is a U.S. thing since we also don't have auto payments.
