Just testing to make sure OpenSSL 1.1.1-pre5 beta3 is working due to some tickets i see for Nginx and OpenSSL 1.1.1-pre4 issues #1528 (Cannot build OpenSSL 1.1.1pre4 on Nginx mainline 1.13.12?) – nginx #1529 (Could not configure TLS1.3 ciphers in OpenSSL 1.1.1 pre4) – nginx So maybe TLS 1.3 ssl ciphers would not work in Nginx with OpenSSL 1.1.1-pre5 as they are now. Giving the fact that using TLS 1.3 is quite useless atm. Latest production Chrome 66 is supporting TLS 1.3 up-to draft 23. Firefox beta is on TLS 1.3 draft final, Firefox production is on select rollout. And we are not ready yet. The client software / server could soon be ready and stable for it (Browser, Nginx, OpenSSL). Router software does not. I have read that there is an error margin percentage of multi % In short, it seems to me that the advice is, wait with TLS 1.3 for a decent time.
