    Hello,

Let me tell you what i discovered. Earlier i use to login to my FTP account from one ISP (i have two ISP's) because another was never able to access it, it was getting timeout after connecting.

So in Panic i started to check all logs and IP details for ban status and how to unban etc.
Finally i decided to use ISP 1 for accessing FTP and ISP 2 for all.

Recently i was browsing some web from ISP 2 and the webpage was not loading for me, i tried a lot, it was working for all but was not opening on my device.

Finally after doing small search i came to know that, due to bad configuration by ISP for DNS, you may face issue in accessing some web or server content.

I used google DNS and the page that was not loading was started to load.

The solution was very simple but, i was not able to understand that, due to panic situation created by FTP not getting accessed.

So, when you not able to login to your FTP account apart from checking for IP ban, white listing etc, you should also consider changing your DNS to a google or any other private one. your network might be having issue in resolving the name of server and connecting to it.

Solutions are always simple but panic situation makes them look like very tough due to not absence of information on what steps to be taken.

    +1, besides Google 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 DNS, you can also try Cloudflare's 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1 :)

Yes and even if someone taking wifi from a mobile device running android 9 or higher can also make a setting for Private DNS.

    Values for DNS

    1dot1dot1dot1.cloudflare-dns.com or
    dns.google
