This was a large work effort, I successfully deployed all essential Node.js packages and their dependencies into AXIVO repository. Finally, a fresh update is available for Node.js using the yum convenience. EPEL and Fedora are way behind, probably due to Node.js' complexity to update software.

See all details into my tutorial and get ready for Ghost! Wordpress reign is finally over. :)

I had the same thread posted at XenForo into Server Configuration forum, it just got deleted because it "reeks of spam" and self promoting. Indeed, it is "spam" to post some open source software that is available nowhere else, linked to a site that requests no financial aid, nor has advertising schemes included. They simply don't understand the amount of time some of us spend to offer our work for free to others... is like they deleted a post that links to CentOS site.

My days of posting at XenForo and helping others there are over.

Well kind of understandable where Xenforo forum is for things related specifically to Xenforo and node.js isn't one of them. It's like someone starting to post questions on this forum related to setting up and configuring Apache on non-centminmod web stack heh

Ghost.org and CentOS.org would be more appropriate place I guess besides this forum :)

@eva2000, the thing is: half of the threads posted in that forum have nothing to do with XenForo. It really put a bitter taste on how people are sometimes... I posted that info to help others who are looking for an answer to Node.js and did it out of cordiality as I considered XenForo a friendly place where people can discuss open. I'm going to follow your advice and post the info into CentOS forums, already did that for Ghost. Anyways, I really do not want to hijack this thread, so let's get back to Node.js.

I started a thread about Ghost dependencies, there is a big havoc how they set it up. Plenty of fixed deps, which is really bad, looking forward to see what the devs come up as solution. Right now, it will be a real pain to upgrade Ghost. What they propose as install is simply unacceptable from a sysadmin/rpm packager perspective. If they don't change their optic about it, not many people will adopt Ghost because there are simply no packages designed to allow a "npm install". Nobody will install from source, look at the HUGE list of deps I have only on basic Node.js packages.

I talked to them on IRC, everything is sorted. They will lean my way, as they understood the problem. :)
