MariaDB No MySQL logs after MariaDB update to 10.0

    Coming back. I did upgrade to MariaDB 10 recently on a different server within the last week, and the new my.cnf was still corrupted as above. So I followed your overwrite and update commands and it seems to be working now.

    strange indeed was that other server's my.cnf also edited from the default out of box too ?

    Yeah. I updated Centminmod via the menu command, then updated MariaDB from 5.5 to 10.0 via menu command.

    It's all working now, but maybe there's a glitch in the install. My guess is that my.cnf is being moved to the backup file instead of being copied.

    strange though alot of my servers went through the 5.5 to 10.x update routine too without problems.
